Arabescato marble

Arabescato is a white Italian marble defined by its dense, branching grey veins. It is chosen for its strong graphic pattern and the prestige of natural stone.

Character and behaviour

The background is bright white to off-white, crossed by intricate grey veining that forms web-like or arabesque patterns. Polished slabs have a cool, reflective surface. Like all calcite marbles, it is moderately soft and will etch on contact with acids.

Best for

  • Kitchen island feature surfaces
  • Bathroom vanity tops
  • Wall cladding and splashbacks
  • Fireplace surrounds

Avoid for

  • High-traffic floor areas prone to scratching
  • Surfaces with frequent acid exposure
  • Outdoor use in freeze-thaw climates

Care and maintenance

Seal on installation and reseal annually. Wipe spills promptly. Use pH-neutral cleaners only — citrus, vinegar, and wine will etch the surface permanently.
